Wokingham
A highly unusual house built in the early 1960’s as two dwellings had been converted to one and over the years this and other adaptations resulted in a claustraphobic feel and tortuous routes around the house.
The alterations stripped away the unfortunate accretions to restore the legibility of the original house and create a generous, open feel from the entrance hall and throughout. New elements complement the original horizontally boarded black timber with a contrasting vertical cedar boarded extension containing a study and master bedroom suite with views out to the mature woodland.
