A new family house on a suburban street in Camberley

The house is on the site of a small 1920’s property and is designed to have a similar mass, form and presence to the existing houses on the street which are a mix of detached & semi-detached properties finished in various materials: brickwork both exposed and painted and render finished. The new house is white rendered with a grey zinc roof and black timber windows.

The house provides living accommodation on the lower floor, with windows orientated towards the suns path at the front and looking out to the rear on to the garden and the woodland beyond. Upstairs, a light filled central landing capped by a rooflight brings light to the heart of the house. Off the landing are two children’s bedrooms open to the profile of the roof and sharing a balcony overlooking the street whilst the parent’s suite overlooks the garden.
